I am a 4th year student of Landscape Architecture with an interest in habitat and zoo design.

I will be traveling to Auckland, New Zealand in the Fall of 2008 to study enclosure design. My study question will be:
How are enclosures created to maximize visitor engagement as well as to facilitate a semi-naturalistic environment that promotes a healthy and active life for the animal within zoological parks?
If anyone has any input on my study topic or on any methods that would help with my studies it would be greatly appreciated.
